Miss Mallary
Catapillars
Mallary accompanied her family to Post Falls at the age of two and is a Post Falls High School graduate. She attended North Idaho College for Business and did work for a bank for a time. Most of her career has been working with special needs adults (4 years) and “kid-oriented fun businesses” like candy stores, roller skating rinks and childcare centers. Mallary’s two beautiful daughters, Mia and Leila, are now also at TLC Learning Center where they can be close to their busy mother. When she isn’t on the job, Mallary enjoys Jam Skating (dancing on skates), being outdoors and going on drives and making forts with her kids.
Miss Shalene
Waddlers
Shalene has lived in California, Alaska, Colorado, and Washington. She was blessed to be a stay-at-home mom for her four daughters and to be alongside them as a PTO board member, classroom volunteer, chaperone, home preschool and after-school day care. You will hear the youngsters at TLC LC call Miss Shalene “Oma” which is “Grandma” from her Dutch roots. Shalene will tell you that she loves doing anything outdoors – hiking, running, traveling, music venues (she works every summer at The Gorge in Washington!), photography and shopping. “I am an appreciator of talent," Shalene confesses. "I find joy in everything. I love to live life!”
Miss Andrea
Cruisers
Andrea has been with TLC Learning Center since April 2019. She attended Northwest Nazarene University where she studied Elementary Education. Andrea has worked with all ages of children but young kids hold a special place in her heart. Nothing makes her happier than watching young children grow! When she isn't working in the classroom, she loves volunteering at her church, camping with her family, fly fishing, DIY projects and exploring new coffee shops.
Miss Lisa
Challengers
Originally from California, Lisa moved to Ellenburg, WA where she graduated from high school. She received her BA in education at Central Washington University with an emphasis in early childhood education. Lisa has worked with children for over 45 years – owning two preschools/daycares where she taught “every age!” Lisa has a loving family – five daughters and four grandchildren – and enjoys their friendship and support. Her hobbies include baking, cooking, gardening - especially growing and using herbs! “I love to learn,” she says, “and to keep up and teach while adapting- to the kids as they develop.”
