Day 7 and 8 - Island time during our Belize Adventures

Sorry it has taken a few days to finish this last post about our Belize adventures.

The group left the Nazarene Camp early Friday morning for the drive to Belize City. Luggage was left secure at a local church and we boarded our water taxi for Caye Caulker.

We arrived at the dock, immediately were fitted for snorkeling and away we went.

After our time at the reef, individual groups headed out for a late lunch, walked the island, shopped for souvenirs, played at The Split and took in the beauty of the place.

We gathered that evening on the rooftop of the hotel to talk about the amazing week we experienced.

The next morning, the water taxi took us back to Belize City where we picked up our luggage and then off to the airport. Our departure time to Denver was delayed and then we again spent some time on the tarmac when we arrived in Denver. So it was a run through customs, luggage pickup and drop off, security, train to a different terminal and finally to to the gate where United was holding the plane for us. Whew!

What an amazing trip! I would encourage you to listen to stories from the travelers. Each person experienced so much that needs to be shared. Thanks to all who supported us!
